1809 LER Cadet Corps – 2026 Mess Dinner

The Annual Mess Dinner is a formal military tradition that brings together cadets, staff, and invited guests to celebrate the customs, camaraderie, and heritage of the Canadian Army. This event introduces cadets to the etiquette, structure, and ceremonial aspects of a traditional mess dinner, including toasts, protocol, and the importance of respect within a military dining environment. We meet the first Tuesday of the Month in the Officer’s Mess Hall on second floor of the armory.

Behind every confident, capable cadet is a strong support network of parents and volunteers. Our Cadet Support Committee (CSC) plays a vital role in helping our 1809 Army Cadet Corps succeed—by supporting activities, organizing fundraising initiatives, and ensuring our cadets have the resources they need to thrive.

Whether you have a little time to give or want to be more involved, your contribution truly makes a difference. Fundraising and support activities help provide opportunities beyond what DND funding can cover—training enhancements, special events, and experiences that create lifelong memories for our cadets.

You don’t need prior experience—just a willingness to help and a desire to support your child and their peers. The CSC is also a great way to meet other parents, learn more about the program, and be part of a positive, youth‑focused community.

We invite all parents to join us at our next Cadet Support Committee meeting. Come ask questions, share ideas, or simply listen in. Every bit of involvement—big or small—helps strengthen our Corps.

Together, we can ensure our cadets continue to grow as leaders, teammates, and citizens.

Join us for the Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR) of the 1809 Loyal Edmonton Regiment Army Cadet Corps, a milestone event that celebrates the achievements, growth, and dedication of our cadets over the past training year.

The ACR is the most important parade of the year. Family, friends, alumni, community partners, and supporters are warmly invited to attend as our cadets demonstrate the skills, discipline, and leadership they have developed. The event includes:

– Formal parade and inspection
– Awards and presentations recognizing outstanding performance
– Displays and demonstrations of cadet training
– Reviewing Officer’s address
– End‑of‑year celebrations with the corps and community

This is a proud moment for every cadet, and your presence helps make the day truly memorable.

All are welcome. Admission is free.
